When on building sites, many materials such as cloth, plastic, cement and other materials have asbestos added to them to make them stronger due to its useful resistant properties against heat, electricity and corrosion. However, when the dust from these materials is inhaled, life changing diseases such as lung cancer can develop over time as the fibres become trapped permanently in the body.

To prevent this, asbestos dust and waste must be safely disposed of in specific authorised disposal bags known as asbestos waste sacks. These sacks are clearly printed with a warning and can be dropped off at the relevant sites to be disposed of properly.

The sacks are made from strong and durable heavy-duty polythene which are compliable with UK and UN law. Waste must be wrapped in a red asbestos sack inside a clear asbestos sack.
