Our mesh heavy duty vehicle gates are most commonly used on building and construction sites. They fit perfectly alongside either a steel or timber hoarding system. These heavy duty construction site vehicle gates are very easy to install. The vehicle gate posts sits 600mm in-ground (the gate posts can be made to 1000mm if required) and are easily connected to the vehicle gate leaf frames using a simply eyebolt system. This eyebolt system is adjustable allowing you to amend the height of the gate leafs to fit the contour of the ground.
Most commonly our vehicle gates are available on a 5-7 day lead time, although this can be affected by the manufacturing schedule. For Vehicle Gates available on a next day delivery please see our Stock Heavy Duty Vehicle Gates.
Many people prefer a mesh vehicle gate over a vehicle gate with a solid steel infill for a number of reasons. Firstly they are considerably lighter, which makes installation of the vehicle gates by hand much simpler. Secondly being able to see through the mesh vehicle gate is preferable from a health and safety aspect as you can see what is on either side of the gate when opening and closing it.
Our gates come in a range of sizes to fit your needs. Most commonly they are 2.0m high to fit alongside steel or low height timber hoarding, or 2.4m high to fit alongside the majority of timber hoarding. We also offer them in various widths with the most popular being 5.0m wide, as it allows for two lanes of traffic comfortably, larger gates of 6.0m & 7.0m widths are recommended for particularly active construction sites with a constant stream of large vehicles passing through them.
We can paint or powder coat these heavy duty construction site vehicle gates to suit your requirements, so if you don't see the finish you would like for your vehicle gate just email us at email@example.com or call 0800 043 2520. Most construction and building sites opt for painted vehicle gates (one-side) on a price point, however painting does not provide a perfect finish and this can run and/or chip. Powder coating is a much superior finish and is suggested for where aesthetics is important.
It is important when installing these vehicle gates to allow the posts to set. The most common way to install the vehicle gates is to install the posts, connect the gate leafs and then leave these gate leafs in a fixed position, with some form of support under them taking the weight of them. The should remain supported in a fixed position until the gates have gone off. Taking this support away before the posts are ready will cause them to lean.
We also offer a range of other vehicle gates. There is a lightweight mesh vehicle gate, which we can supply in a variety of widths. For a more robust, but still portable vehicle gate, we have solid steel portable vehicle gates.
