Square Pack Fire Blanket
These small-sized Square Pack Fire Blankets come in one size and their lightweight and practical nature makes them ideal for portable use in leisure industries and in places such as caravans. Each blanket is 1.1m x 1.1m and comes with straps at the bottom which easily the fire blanket for use.
Fire Safety Blankets have been manufactured to cut off the oxygen supply to the fire, thereby putting it out. They are most commonly used for effectively distinguishing cooking oil fires and wrapping around a person to protect them from flames.
Made in the UK from JT510 material – it has a unique 3-ply material construction consisting of two layers of woven glass fibre fabric with an inner layer of fire retardant film.
Each Fire Retardant Blanket has been made with outstanding draping qualities to cut off oxygen supply from burning oil and allowing it to cool off gradually before its self-ignition temperature – it normally takes around 17 minutes for the oil to cool below this temperature. Flammable fuel fires can also be extinguished with it normally taking around 4 minutes to eliminate oxygen from the burning fuel.
Blankets are commonly found in buildings as a safety precaution in case of an emergency if occupants of the building must escape due to a fire – they can be wrapped around oneself when exiting a burning building for protection from flames. They are also commonplace in kitchens in industrial and commercial environments where cooking oil is present.
